Between each patient use, clean and disinfect the Wispr optics module barrel and camera tip. Clean and disinfect the remaining exterior as needed. Wispr may be cleaned and disinfected with an appropriate health care low- or intermediate-level cleaner/disinfecting wipe that incorporates either isopropyl alcohol or a 1:10 sodium hypochlorite (bleach) solution as the active disinfection ingredient. Follow wipe manufacturer’s instructions for appropriate use, contact times and applicable warnings and precautions with the exception that disinfectant contact time should never be less than 60 seconds.
After cleaning and disinfection, inspect for visible signs of degradation. If evidence of damage or degradation is present, discontinue use and contact WiscMed.
