These are the recommended power sources for powering your Wispr Digital Otoscope. In addition, the Wispr can be utilized with the Heine otoscope power handle. (Please note: WiscMed supports the use of the Welch Allyn 71000-A handle with a minor modification. We have found that an additional battery spring is necessary to prevent a bump on the handle from resetting the Wispr. (Image 2 above) Please contact WiscMed and we will send you the required spring at no charge. Installing the spring requires no tools and takes less than 30 seconds. Heine Beta 4 USB
The Heine Beta 4 USB handle has two versions. The “TL” version stands for Twist Lock and is directly compatible with the Wispr and Welch Allyn products. The “AV” version stands for “Automatenverschlusses” (Automatic Connector). The “AV” version handle requires a Heine AV to TL adapter (Heine X-002.98.006) to work with the Wispr.
